Mike,
I'm Naui trained with the PADI nitrox cert only to 40%. The NOAA tables are the same as the DSAT PADI as to 150 minutes max for any 24 hour period and the 45 minutes at 1.4 for any concurrent 24 hour period. Diving beyond these limits it is taught that you could tox have a seizure and drown. Dan Volker recommends that the WKPP is diving to lower limits of 1.1-1.2 because of the enzeme damage that higher limits and exposures present. This seems like nice advise for the readers to be conservative, Your statement throw up a red flag to me, sorry if I'm stepping on any toes. I feel recreational divers should dive within the safe guidelines of the NOAA and the DSAT tables. A diver could misconstrue your statement that it is okay to dive for 360 continous minutes at 1.6 because George does it. I have diver safety in mind and if that makes me a bad guy for "challenging you" then so be it.
