Arno,
To reduce cold, use argon. I don't see this as much of a failure point either. If your argon system fails, call the dive. Mine has not failed on me yet, but that of-course doesn't mean anything.
The G200 and G400 underwear from DUI awesome. I flooded my suit once and still stayed warm in my G200 underwear. It even kept me warm for a week of diving in Florida with a leaky suit.
Don't get me wrong, I am not proud of squeze marks on my body after some dives. The only reason I run my suit this way is because I am into very precise buoyancy and propper attitude. The only way this can be achieved in a drysuit is with minimal suit inflation gas.
You may not require the same level of precision as I do. For you, comfort may outweigh the benefit of precision. That is up to you. I just know for me, it is not a choice.
Regards,
Bill
