Not all padi instructors are like that. I hired an instructor (Padi) to show me the ropes with a dry suit. BTW, I didn't want the c-card and I didn't get one I just wanted the knowledge. I had to hand him my mask for a minute or so while maintaining buoyancy. If you don't believe me I'll give you his name, you know him.
