You most likely react the way you do from experience and comfort. Not because someone ripped your mask an reg off during your initial training.
If they would have done that there is some chance you would have reacted differently back then. Its really no different than making up a required skill
like say on one of your open water cert dives we are going to take you to wreck and put you in a space with limited light, silt it out, have you lose contact
With your line and then find the line and find your way out. Even though you may have been told how to react and what to do and maybe even had some dry land training
it is really a valueless and stupid *Skill*, it may be amussing but amussing does'nt give it value.
Does anyone know if it us true that the DIR puppets are taught to try and breath off of thier BC inflators at some point in the training process. If so why, what value does that
have especially when part of DIR puppet training is having a buddy right there by your side holding your hand at all times. Is'nt the DIR buddy puppet supossed to have enough back gas
to get the puppet team out.
