There are D-Rings on the side of the waist strap and it is clipped to the one at my right side a lot like I would do with a cannister light. Should I "need" to have a cannister light on a single tank, daytime OW dive I would just move it to my left or place the cannister to my left side. It seemed that it might be a nuisance before I tried it but I barely noticed it IN the water then on my way out I forgot it was there until a person on the beach looked at it!
