Bob a BC is part of our scuba gear. The BC like the regulator and tank all go together to make up a life-support unit.
Diving is easier and safer with a BC.
Many of us dove with-out a BC in the late 60's and early 70's and we all drowned allot. When the BC came out, anyone with any sense bought one and used it.
If you are taking students in the ocean or in the pool with just a backpack, you are may very well get someone hurt.
You guys need to get other this retro-backpack diving BS.
