Just received a letter from F&G. As of July 1st rockfish, lingcod, ocean white fish, and Ca. sulpin can only be takin in waters less than 20 fathoms. Apearently, the fish that is in danger is the bocaccio and somehow all the others are effected. Perhaps the drifts nets or bottom nets/dredges. Not sure though if you can transport the fish in the water deeper than 20 fathoms. Example, you can shoot sheephead at SBI, but you can not take them through the Cow Cod Closure. I tried to get a permit to do so, but after 3 hours at F&G they told me no such permit existed and that we can not take sheephead from the island. You can shoot them and eat them there though.
