Limit-A-Day is OK?

Reading the OC Register today, story-- http://www.ocregister.com/sports/ --about a guy headed for court who says he can explain his overlimit by the fact there are X amount of days in a season and he apparently is saying he took a limit a day.
Does anyone know if this is correct? Can I keep at my house a limit for each day of the season? If so and if El Nino gets cranking, I'm going to shop for a freezer.
