They have this tasty, dry meat. It's very good.
The shells are tough. Electrician tools work really good for opening them.
I knock the stuff ogg that grows on the shell, then I break open the shell and wash out everything with a hose, then cook the whole thing. There is meat in the legs and claws as well as in the base of the legs, just harder to get to.
Eric, do you know if the F&G complain if you take off the claws (for self defence) and keep the whole crab?
