Our dive club, the Sole Searchers had a scheduled beach dive at Malaga Cove Saturday morning, but it was like a washing machine when we arrived. Even surfers were calling off their day due to unpredictable waves. We drove over to our favorite, Old Marineland (about 10 minutes away) and found flat calm seas and vis of 30 at 57 feet. Rock entry off the point was so clam, it was the easiest I've ever done there. We met an electric ray at 50 feet. I hear they have an electric personality:-) Anyone actually been shocked by one of these?
