From looking at all of the great photos the memebers of this forum ahve taken, it looks like most of the dives are done in deep water, or deep enough to use a light - unless they are night dives. Anyway, are there any shallow water lagoons, or crescent bays, or just a large exapnse of shallow water in general in California? I would guess shallow water would mean warmer water and maybe some more species of fish or things like that, and no kelp?
