The harsh reality has set in that although the underwater world is supposedly pretty good up here (at least that's what people tell me) the conditions almost always totally SUUUUUCK.
If you were to average out the swell model and vis over a full year it would read as follows:
Swell: 12-14 feet every 10 seconds
Visibility: 3-6 feet
And then there would be the perpetual "small craft advisory" wind speed 25-40 kts. with 45 kt. gusts.
You don't know how lucky you are.
