Catch and release may be just a nice way of saying take and torture. Didn't your mother ever tell you it is sacreligious to play with your food?

If you are going to catch it, at least have the decency to eat it. If you have no intention of eating it, leave it alone.

Anyone whose self-esteem and validation is dependent upon the impression that others have because of their ability to catch a crustacean is probably in need of some serious mental health intervention. Another good reason to solo dive.
