Can somebody explain the mechanics of what SC has done?

I want to write a letter to Sports Chalet protesting their recent actions. In hopes of writing a cogent letter, I've re-read the related posts on this board, but I haven't come across an actual description of the Sport Chalet's demands. Can someone who's familiar with the situation (it would be helpful if this was first hand, not hearsay) write up a brief account of what SC was demanding, what the previous arrangements were, and the timing of all this?

This would be very helpful.
