that. What happened there though, is like San
Diego, all that gets left behind are shorts. Laguna
suggests that the commercial fishermen will get more
militant. They don't think sport divers should get
any and they figure sport divers should not be allowed
to dive in areas where traps are set.
Fish and Game decided that they could not enforce trap
limits so now each operator can have as many as they
want. You can see the result of that.
FAG is really screwed up. Their policies do not
promote a sustained yield, just short term profits
for the commercial fishers. Just look at the condition
of CA fisheries. Salmon gone. Ab gone. Lingcod collapsed.
Rockfis collapsing. They should all get a new job, but
when I told one of them that they would have no job when
the otters got here, the reply was that they would just
go inland. That seemed pretty stupid for someone in that
position. Your public servants at work.
