I am looking to get further certification for diving. Currently I have PADI (shudder) OW and about 25ish dives. AOW is the obvious next choice but I was wondering can you go for Rescue before AOW? The problem is that my parents (and they are god seeing that I am a minor) arn't divers. They were opposed to my certification in the first place. They are alright with me diving now, although certainly not thrilled. Anyway, they have forbid AOW. I, in my childlike honesty, furneshed them with some research about possible epipheasial plate damage with dives deeper than 60 feet. I don't plan on doing any of these, but a deep dive is a requirment of the course. There is no evidence that any damage has taken place but, my parents are ardent. So that is kind of what I am stuck in. If I can't do anything untill I take AOW, then I am stuck 'till I am 18 (2yrs, 5days). If you have any ideas let me know.
