I have read both your post and it seems that there is a back and forth posting of you can and can not fill an unclean tank with pure O2, but IMO nothing supporting the facts. I have heard different theories and this is a question that strikes curiosity.

What I would like to know is what facts with a source each of you have supporting whether filling a tank with pure O2 is safe or unsafe. This is chemistry so there has to be an answer to when and/or if O2 becomes flammable or explosive when filling a scuba tank, not just because this is how they do it in Florida or California. Please refer me back to a post if I missed something.
