Can this forum be free and open when one small group of users wants to dominate the discussion with their personal agenda?

MHK and his wannabe clones seem to have created acrimonious atmosphere by personal attacks on those who express views that are different than theirs.
Others and I are not completely innocent, and have been drawn into this, but I for one would like to see a friendlier atmosphere.

Are you as tired of the DIR BS as I am?

The DIR guys have created their own forum; perhaps they should go there.
What do you think?

I am not completely innocent of this, but I want this to be a place for people to discuss California diving, not a place for self-righteous wannabe tech divers to constantly declare how they are better than everyone else.

Is it wrong to block MHK, so a friendlier atmosphere prevails?

I have a set of rules for editing this BBS posted in the FAQ.
I and the other editors do our best to follow them.
Almost every who has posts removed thinks they are being discriminated against.

What makes good editing?

... Chris
