People choose to dive in the way that works best for their goals.
Both the men and women who dive with backpacks do so because it works best for them, it has nothing to do with being macho.
It is great rhetoric for someone who hides behind a fake email address, and does not have the cajones to make such a statement under their real name.
Your vision of how the world should dive is not mine, or that of many others.
It is a view shared by some.
However people will continue to dive in a manner that works for them, until the dive Gestapo starts enforcing your vision of the world on everyone.
