I've always been, shall we say, a bit hesitant about fins. Now, I in no way am I much of the gear guy, but my fins tend to be rather .... unimpressive. I've tried all kinds of different fins. Some were pretty spendy. Some were pretty trick. All got dumped. Except for a short period of time when I wore Diver Ducks, I've always worn what can only be nicely called Free Diving Fins. Perhaps it would be more accurate to call them cheap, plastic, full footed fins. But hey, they work great for me. I use them for free diving, scuba and bodysurfing. I've shown that I can swim just as good as the next diver, often better. I have great acceleration and manueverability. When doing speed runs or free diving, I can go faster than most divers I've seen. Now RSD reports that full footed fins are consistently superior to pocket fins. I could have told them that.
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
