I have to disagree with the assertion that sportfishermen are conservationists. The sports used the mantle of being 'conservationists' for the sole purpose of establishing a false credibility in their "war" against the reserves and other issues.
The next time anyone sees a group of fishermen on the water who are NOT there for the express purpose of profiting from their commune with nature, please let me know!
Truth is, fishermen simply DO NOT go out on the water to practice being good conservationists, they are out there trying their best to kill some of the inhabitants of the ocean wilderness, NOT to conserve them...
