Please call the CG and ask them why they will not enforce this, and make it a law.
A couple of years ago I had my annual inspection and during that inspection the CG officer asked me how things were going. I told him that “boat rage” was now the norm and what could we do to stop it. He said when things get bad enough, things will change.
I asked him the question they always ask us when money gets involved, “What is a live worth?”
I told him of the accident off of Eagle Reef a few years ago and told him of the death of a diver and the “Diver Flag” up, the calling of the Mr. Cee warning the boat off and his refusal to listen, only to be acquitted because he claimed he had know knowledge of the dive flag. The CG officer refused to talk to me anymore about this.
Call the CG and demand their involvement. This is the only way things will change.
As it stands now, there are no boundaries as to how close a boat can come to us, and no way to enforce it.
