These proposed laws are a reminder that some people are willing to take away our freedoms to keep us free, at least in their eyes. I would think that the police would be hesitant to write a ticket unless the photographer was doing something suspicious. Tourists taking snapshots in New York are a part of the culture just as much as yellow cabs.
