No I didn't say can't. I said they aren't qualified and a mistake in computations could be fatal. Especially if working with the oxygen clock when using EAN mixes and multiple dives like on liveaboard trips when one could be doing 5-6 dives per day. I also said they are good learning tools and is a safety device that to me is worth the money. You don't like computers that's fine with me. I think you have demonstrated that you would rather figure the NDL and deco requirements in your head. That's cool, I'd rather not. I would rather concentrate on the enjoyment of the dive and my ability to work in close to the wildlife, my bouyancy and navigation, air management, etc.
