My wife and I are fairly new to diving. We have just returned for a weeks vacation in Cozumel were the diving was great. We are now trying to plan our next dive vacation. We were told about the kelp forests and swimming with sea lions in california. So we have chosen this as our next vacation. I am looking for suggestions on what area to go to, and the best time of year to be there. Here in Maine at best the water is 58 degrees and dark.... what can I expect in California. Thanks for your help.
