As a former Navy Seal, I'm sure you probably get a little sick and tired of people who say they were Seals when, in fact, they never really were. They may have worked with the Seals or may be familiar with the lingo and how they operate; but they weren't seals. It is such a disgrace for someone to say they were a Seal when they weren't. Thankfully, there are organizations that "vet" people who say they were Seals. If you were a Seal, then maybe you wouldn't mind providing your unit I.D. and time frame you were in so that can be verified. I also believe that if you were a Seal, you won't mind and you'll appreciate the efforts of those who want to make sure people who tell other people they were Seals actually were.
