You're probably right, it probably warrented no critique to you, but this story was about a person doing things too dumb for a squirrel to manage. There was nothing to learn unless you are already too stupid to dive. Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain. That kind of, I dunno, "Mega" or "Over" Stupidity is enough to destroy galaxies. It was a good story and a great description of a person recovering from saying "Watch this Y'all", but it was not a heartening story.
Tell you what. You've done exotic dives to places few of us will see. Write up about a good dive of yours and let us see your story. I would enjoy that more than the Immortal one.
