Karl, are you sure that was'nt the veg based lube oil used in the compressor? Interesting. I had never noticed any difference in "taste" Anyhoo. I'm happy to see more people (like Doug here) going ahead and getting recreational EANx certified. I'm still of the belief that soon, entry level students will start their first pool sessions with nitrox. (if the shop has the capabilities, of course) The rec nitrox course will just be folded into the BOW cert. If I were to get my first card again, I'd only go with a shop that could fill nitrox and I would probably dive it as much as humanly possible. I already do now but sometimes I don't have time and just grab any tank thats full as my job only requires me to dive to maybe 8 fsw or so most of the time.
