Given all the commotion regarding the PADI suit against Diverlink, I've spent some time cruising through the Diverlink site. One thing I came across which should be of interest to some of you is an article by Larry "Harris" Taylor entitled "Why I do NOT train kids." Aside from all the coginitive development and neuro muscular issues I had already thought of, Taylor notes other physiological reasons children are ill-adapted to hyperbaric environments.

I know a few of you have kids who dive and I'm not looking for an argument. FTR, I started diving when I was nine and have done, by some accounts, a reasonably effective job at disguising my dementia. I simply found Dr. Taylor's article thought provoking in terms of perspective and information. For those who don't recognise the name, Dr. Taylor is a pretty smart guy who knows a few things about physiology and diving.
