Propsed Lobster Season Date Changes

As many of you may or may not know, I am a member of the DFW Spiny Lobster Advisory Committee.

One of the current topics at the meetings is that some people are confused about the current lobster season which runs from the Saturday before the first Wednesday in October until the first Wednesday after March 15.   One proposal is to change the start to the last Saturday in September, and the end to the second Wednesday in March.

What do you think about the proposed changes? Are they better the the current system? If you don't like either what would you propose?
