Really? I haven't ever heard of any deaths that have been attributed to the product that holds a tank onto your back. Can you site any cases?

I agree. It helps to dive good equipment but experience and skills are the key to success. There is nothing wrong with the holistic approach to diving but there are many quality devices that work perfectly of holding a tank onto your back. Especially for the applications in the recreational depths.
