Mike,

I see your point. It is somewhat unfair for you because sometimes it may seem that it is you against everyone else, but you knew the job was dangerous when you took it. Everyone knows what you believe in, but what you have to remember is that everyone else is not together on what they believe. This is the source of frustration because you can't argue a complete definable philosiphy with "everyone else," because everyone else has a different philosophy.

What might be interesting to do is start threads that address specific groups. That way you can debate the group's philosophy with the members of that group, as opposed to "everyone" on this board. You could start going through the philosophies of each agency starting with PADI, NAUI, etc, then DAN, then the CA Wreck Divers, then whatever other groups that have a definable philosophy. Others would have to defend their philosophies with reasonable logic or abandon the philosophy altogether. I don't know how you will draw Seahunt and the like into such strings though, since they don't seem to have a complete definable philosophy.

Such debates might be interesting,

Bill
