At the depth of the PADI/NAUI manuals, there's no reason it can't be done as an online course. It's pretty watered down. But I could see operators rejecting this Israeli agency (who is it under), or doing a little query of their own. Since I believe in divers taking care of themselves, the operators can let the divers decide themselves if it is sufficent.
It is a good reason to take it from someone that actually knows the subject, preferably someone that was diving it before it became the latest cert fad.
BTW, who knocks the LAC cert? There's one way to show ignorance.
