Karl,

The *algorithm* used by the tables and the computers are generally the same. Most ( and I've already posted about the RGBM and Suunto, if you missed it e-mail me privately and I'll expand) of the computers on the market today use the same algorithm..

The major difference between the table and the computer is that the computer updates in real time, whereas a table predicts in planned time.

In other words 2 plus 2 equals four in either *algorithm*, but a computer will constantly update your profile and thus provide for real time information and variances between actual and planned profiles..

It's a common misconception that the two work from different algorithms since one renders a extended result. The tables are on the Modified subset B of the Buhlman algorithm and the computer is the modified subset C..
