I agree with you and you help make my point.
Those of us who do *big* dive don't have to *beat* our chests.
We go quitely obout our business and do what we love to do.
I have found that most of the *chest beaters* have not done *big dives*, they just
like to talk about it as if they have. Perhaps this is what draws the few to DIR all the talk about tough traiing and higher standards
without actually having to do anything while training.
The GUE, DIR message is good, higher training standards, rock solid time provern (GUE did not actually invent much of this) equipment config that
is adaptable to most all situations, very good message.
However you are right the messenger is the weak link, if they clean it up they may be more accepted and grow.
IMO the problem with getting DIR clean is that they have to start at the top. Which means that the principles at GUE need to take a good look at themselvs and the
attitude they foster which I don't think they have the maturity level to do.
Second they need to get to the membeship and stop the ranting of the like of MHK or the message die with them, but again it has to start at the top and this is just
not going to happen. Hence GUE, DIR will die on the vine and the noise will stop.
