Karl, I got a batchelors and a masters from
Stanford in four and a half years. I have five
US Patents. I'm not stupid.

I don't dive all day in Monterey. I do two,
occasionally three dives. So it's unimportant
to be able to dive all day. Your best mix, even
if it weren't hogwash, wouldn't be useful. It
would cost me bottom time.

My computer gives me 34 minutes at 100' on Nitrox 35. That's a lot better than your 22 minutes.
I might even be able to finish the roll of film.
I'll keep my computer, thank you.

I rarely know where I'm going to be diving when I
leave the dock -- the conditions are just too
unpredictable.

Your 1.6 minutes to the surface from 100' is very
bad. From a 100', no deco, dive, I'd take 1-2
minutes to get to 50', 3 minutes at 50', 1 minute
to get to 30', 3 minutes at 30, 1 minute to get to
15', 3 minutes at 15, 1 minute at 10 while I
hang the camera and take off my BC (it's easier
underwater than on the surface), and 1 minute
to the surface. That's 14-15 minutes ascent
time, watching the jellies or whatever. I've
gotten some of my best pictures in the midwater.

Chuck
